After acquiring the Super Miami ride from Lubbock, Texas, Funland entrusted our team to upgrade it to meet the latest ADIPS requirements, including a comprehensive Design Review. Following our initial inspection, we identified key areas requiring attention and developed a tailored plan to modernize the control system while adhering to current standards.

The park expressed a desire to retain the simplicity and functionality of the original control system. To accommodate this, we enhanced the existing setup with the following critical updates:

  • Replacement of the main drive contactor with an EN61810-3-rated device.
  • Implementation of PLe monitoring for restraint locks to ensure compliance and safety.

Additionally, we took the opportunity to streamline the control panel by reorganizing and cleaning up the wiring, removing obsolete components, and ensuring all cabling was professionally managed.

We installed a REER Mosaic Safety PLC on the Gondola to monitor the restraint system this allowed us to integrate it into the existing system safely and efficiently. These updates were completed to our usual high standards of workmanship. We also provided on-site and phone assistance with installation and troubleshooting, ensuring the ride was fully operational in time for the peak season.
